Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman who is a businesswoman. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss, who is originally from California was born into an very wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon before becoming the proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. Their relationship ended in 1972 which made her feel emotionally abandoned. In 1972, at age 19, she began working within the family's company. She later set up an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice president for the Lakers. Buss her father passed away in 2013 and the Lakers were passed down by Buss and her five siblings through the trust. Every sibling was entitled to an equal number of votes. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with the headquarters located in Los Angeles.
