Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil as well as Telugu film, as well as to a few Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri the character in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). Other awards she has won include three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South as well as three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy is the daughter of film producer G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her early career was as an actor for children. After completing her studies in the field of Fashion Design, she re-entered acting. Her debut lead role came in 2013's Malayalam movie Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first film projects that were not in Malayalam and was signed to appear in several Tamil films simultaneously. In 2015 she released A. A. Vijay's romantic comedies Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu opposite each other. However, the films were not a success in the cinemas. A busy schedule during 2015 resulted in her having to opt out of films that she was already making, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, in order to make room for larger projects. For a short period of time she collaborated alongside Sivakarthikeyan on Rajini Murugan, Remo and also played the lead on Prabhu Sool's Thodari with Dhanush. The film that she played in was her Telugu debut had been scheduled in the form of Ainaa Ishtam nuvvu. The release of the film was pushed back in the year 2015, and now is expected to be after September 2020. The film will be released under a different title, Janakitho Nenu. Subsequently, the debut was the 2016 film Nenu Sailaja which starred actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy made her debut on screen in Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) alongside actor Vijay.
